CHURCH STAFF
We
thank God for our faithful staff who serve the Lord and love the church.
God
has blessed Lighthouse Baptist Church with leaders who simply make themselves
available to
God and seek to please Him. May our Lord bless them and their families
as they
run the race!

1972 to parents Danny He experienced the confirmation of his
salvation in the summer of 1987 at the Georgia mountains
Church Camp with First Baptist Church of Webster Florida.
He was baptized in the summer of 1987 at the First Baptist
Church of Webster, Florida. He married Jodie Parker of
Bushnell, Florida on October 8, 1994 and Bro. Danny made a
public rededication of himself to God in the summer of
1997and surrendered his life to the Lords service. He was
subsequently Licensed topreach in 1998 by the authority of
Croom-A-Coochie Baptist Church Webster,Florida. There

2000.
After this he served at St. Catherine Baptist Church as Youth Pastor,
Bus Captain and Singles ministry leader from 2000 to 2002. He was
ordained to the gospel ministry in 2002 by the authority of St.
Catherine Baptist Church. He was called to Campbell City
Baptist Church where he served as pastor from 2002 to 2007.
Campbell City Baptist saw tremendous growth the first year with a 46
member increase. From 2002 to 2007 the church saw over 300 souls saved.
The church grew from 7 to 150 in five years. During Brother Young’s
pastorate the church licensed three men and ordained two who are now
pastoring churches in Florida. Bro. Danny is a graduate of Faith Bible
Institute, which he attended from 2000 to 2006 and received the Bible
College Diploma of Theology.
In July of 2007 he felt his missionary calling and God led to plant
churches in the state of Florida. He established the Hope for Florida
Church planting Ministry. In August of 2007 the Bay Lake Baptist
Church of Groveland, Florida voted to become the sending church for
brother Young and the Hope for Florida Church Planting Ministry.
In January of 2008 Missionary Danny Young and family planted the first
church plant in Springhill/Brooksville, Florida: Lighthouse
Baptist Church. They began meeting at the Senior Citizens club in
Springhill where in just a few months the attendance grew into the
twenty’s. The church is now meeting in the Community medical plaza in
Brooksville. In April of 2009 the church purchased 5.2 acres of land on
Sunshine grove road in Brooksville with plans to build a church
building in the not-to-distant future as the Lord wills it. The church
is currently running in the fifty’s on Sunday mornings and has seen
many come to know the Lord Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

John Clayppol, Associate Pastor
Bro. John was born in Danville IL. on August 12, 1967. At
the age of two his mother and father got divorced and his
mother moved to Florida where her parents lived with Bro.
John, his brother and his sister. As he grew up in Florida, he
attended a Presbyterian Church in Clermont where he always
enjoyed being involved with the youth. He loved the church
and loved the people, but looking back he “...honestly cant say
that I ever heard the gospel there.” Then, suddenly, his family
stopped going there and he didn't understand why until he was
old enough to understand that something had happened there
causing the minister to leave, which hurt his mother.
For several years during his teens he and his family didn't go to
church. He got involved with a theater group in the next town over and spent several years doing plays and musicals. He was
heavily involved in his high school choir, “Sound Celebration.”
God had given him a talent to sing and act whereby he enjoyed doing
those things. They became his “church.” During his junior year in
high school he began attending Bay Lake Baptist Church in Groveland,
Florida because several of his friends in the high school choir were
members there and asked him to come and sing in their teen choir at the
church. He was immediately brought in as part of the teen choir
and treated like he belonged there from the start.
Bro. Ray Kirkland was the pastor of Bay Lake Baptist at the time and
when he preached, Bro. John heard the gospel. Like most, he had
to hear the gospel several times before it sank in. As he
recalls, “You see, I was always told that I was going to heaven because
I was born into a Christian family.” After hearing the gospel
preached several times, one Wednesday night after church while he was
alone in his room he just couldn't go to sleep until he “got things
right with God.” It was right there at age 17 in his room that he
asked Jesus to be his Saviour and became forever changed!
He met his wife Shannon when he was twenty-one and she was
nineteen. On their first date he took her to church. She
wasn't saved when they first started dating but he took her to church
every time he went. He was concerned about her soul because of
his obvious care for her, so one night he talked to her about getting
saved and she trusted Jesus as her Saviour. They dated for about
three months then decided to get married. They were married at Bay Lake
Baptist Church where they had both heard the gospel that saved our
souls, were baptized and became members. As life went on, they allowed
things to in the way of them serving the Lord as they should and they
eventually dropped out of church for four years. During this time their
children were born: Chuck, Amanda, and Rebecca They were living
like most young married couples, working overtime and living beyond
their means so what should have been the best four years of their lives
became the worst years of their lives because they were out of God's
will and under His chastening hand. Nevertheless, Bro. John
thinks back, “I thank God however that He loves me enough to
chase after me and chastise me. Because with nowhere else to turn we
turned back to God.
God had a special reason for getting us back in His will, because He
had a second call for us.” It wasn't long after they got back into the
Lord’s will and into church that he began to feel the call to preach
the gospel. Pretty soon after he began receiving the call he
surrendered and was licensed by Bay Lake Baptist Church to
preach. He immediately went to seminary for two years and got an
Associate’s degree in language and theology. Throughout his first
four years of pasturing, he and Shannon received their Bible degrees
through Faith Bible Institute. He has pastored two churches in
Florida: Pleasant Grove Baptist church in Oxford and First
Missionary Baptist church in Mascotte. His last pastorate was the
First Missionary Baptist church in Varnado, Louisiana where he pastored
for five years. During his time in Louisiana he taught a Bible
college course at GCBI in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. God has allowed
Bro. John to do some wonderful things for Him in the ministry and now
He's brought him back down to Florida to be a part of the Hope for
Florida Church planting ministry and to be involved in the planting of
Lighthouse Baptist Church in Spring Hill, FL. “And I thank Christ
Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me FAITHFUL,
putting me into the ministry.”
Chuck Claypool, Youth Pastor
Bro. Chuck is the son of our associate pastor, John Claypool. He is currently attending Emmaus
Baptist College in Brandon, FL and brings a dynamic flavor to the youth ministry. His exciting
teaching combined with his hugely energetic personality work to elevate our youth ministries to new
& thrilling heights. He is available to any of our youth 24/7 and strives to serve them eagerly.
Tony & Ypille Tirse, Missionaries to the Philippines
Bro. Tony was born on December 19, 1972 in New Orleans, LA and moved
to Tampa, Florida in 1981 where he grew up. He was saved in 1997 after
reading a marked edition of the New Testament given to him years earlier by a
soul-winning preacher who was visiting in the neighborhood. He made that
faith public on July 23, 2000 and began to grow rapidly in the faith, teaching his
first Sunday School class in late 2001.
He and His wife, Ypille, met in November of 1999 and were married in
November of 2000. She was saved in February 11, 2001 and they both were
baptized together a week later. They both continued to grow in love and in the
faith together when Bro. Tony began to realize a calling on him to enter the
ministry. After careful prayer and discussion he publicly surrendered himself
fully to the ministry of the gospel with his wife at his side in November of 2002
at Trinity Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida.
In 2003, on a trip to the Philippines, Sis. Ypille’s homeland,
Bro. Tony began to feel that God might call him to be a missionary to
the Philippines. However, he put this out of his mind thinking it
may have just been some sentiment on his part because this was where
his wife was from. But as the months turned into years he
realized he had a great burden for the people of the Philippines and
after much prayer together, Bro. Tony and Sis. Ypille publicly
surrendered to be missionaries to the Philippines in November of 2005
at Colony Baptist Church in Ellenton, Florida. Bro. Tony
subsequently completed his first survey trip to the Philippines the
following month. After some major life events, including Sis. Ypille
receiving a kidney transplant and their move to the Brooksville/Spring
Hill area, the Lord directed them to Lighthouse Baptist Church where
they have been faithfully serving God preaching the Gospel and winning
souls to the Lord. They also served in the youth ministries
including Jr. Church, Teen Sunday School, the Youth Group and helping
in may other areas and ministries. Bro. Tony was appointed Youth
Pastor in April of 2010. In April of 2011 Lighthouse Baptist Church
unanimously voted to send Bro. Tony & Sis. Ypille out as their
missionaries to the Philippines. They are currently on deputation
and hope to be out on the field permanently by the end of 2013.
